Nairobi, October 29, 2025 – The Claretian Missionaries of the St. Charles Lwanga Independent Delegation joyfully marked two momentous occasions this week at Karen, Nairobi — the Final Profession and Diaconate Ordination of four of their brothers.

On Tuesday, October 28, 2025, at 5:00 p.m., Bro. Zephrine Superius, CMF, Bro. Ooko Thomas Owino, CMF, Bro. Gastor B. Kimario, CMF, and Bro. Kalyango Patrick, CMF, made their perpetual vows of poverty, chastity, and obedience during a solemn Eucharistic celebration presided over by Fr. Joy Mapallikunnel, CMF, Delegate Superior of the St. Charles Lwanga Independent Delegation. The celebration brought together parents, family members, representatives of neighboring religious congregations, and Claretian missionaries from across the East African Mission.

The following day, on Wednesday, October 29, 2025, the four newly professed brothers were ordained to the Diaconate by Most Rev. Philip A. Anyolo, the Archbishop of the Archdiocese of Nairobi, in a deeply prayerful and joyous liturgical celebration.

Both ceremonies were filled with thanksgiving, song, and the spirit of missionary zeal characteristic of the Claretian family. After the celebrations, participants shared moments of fraternity through a facilitation session and a joyful supper, expressing gratitude for the gift of vocation and mission.

The two days of celebration highlighted the brothers’ deep commitment to serve God and His people as Claretian missionaries, following in the footsteps of St. Anthony Mary Claret, their founder.

“The love of Christ impels us” (2 Cor 5:14).
