Ngaremara, 26 March 2026 — The Claretian community marked a significant milestone with the official opening and blessing of the Claretian Retreat Centre, Ngaremara. The solemn ceremony took place on Thursday, 26th March 2026 at 3:00 p.m., and was presided over by Rt. Rev. His Lordship Bishop Peter Munguti Makau IMC.

The event began with the blessing of the newly established retreat centre, symbolizing its dedication as a sacred space for prayer, reflection, and spiritual renewal. In his address, the Bishop emphasized the importance of such centres in nurturing the spiritual growth of the faithful and providing a peaceful environment for retreats and recollection.


Following the inauguration ceremony, a Holy Mass was celebrated, bringing together clergy, religious members, and the faithful in thanksgiving for the new centre. The liturgical celebration marked the beginning of the centre’s mission to serve as a place of encounter with God and community life.
